Tricolor Culinary Sage is a compact shrubby herbaceous perennial with strongly aromatic wrinkled foliage that is marbled grey green and purple with irregular white edges. Short upright spikes holding small two-lipped lavender blue flowers bloom in late spring. Flowers best in full sun and average well-drained soils. Drought tolerant. The foliage is edible and can be used in cooking fresh or dried.
