Smooth Cordgrass is a tall dense clumping-forming coastal native grass with wiry arching green foliage that has silvery undersides and turns creamy soft browns in fall. The flowers and seed heads are inconspicuous. Grows best in full sun and moist to wet soils. Lightly drought tolerant once established. Can grow to 8ft in freshwater.
