Radiant Red Native Azalea is an upright deciduous shrub with green foliage that turns orange-bronze for fall. Deep red buds open to spicy fragrant clusters to fiery red honeysuckle-like flowers in mid spring. Best grown in part sun and rich, moist, acidic well-drained soils. Radiant Red is an Aromi hybrid and is heat and humidity tolerant.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Water Regularly. Mulch in winter. Proper care and air circulation should prevent most pest and disease problems. Rhododendrons are susceptible canker, crown rot, root rot, leaf spot, rust, powdery mildew, aphids, borers, lacebugs, leafhoppers, mealybugs, mites, nematodes, scale, thrips, and whitefly.
