David’s Lavender Garden Phlox is an upright perennial native to the east coast.  The stiff stems are covered with dark green toothed foliage and dense clusters of  fragrant lavender flowers that bloom from summer into fall.  Best flowering in full sun and rich, moist, well-drained soils.  David’s Lavender has good powdery mildew resistance and does not need to be staked.

Phlox paniculata provides nectar to butterflies, skippers, Sphinx and Hummingbird moths, and hummingbirds.
