Yellow Tree Peony is a compact deciduous woody shrub with deeply divided oval to lance shaped foliage that stay green all season.  The large, fragrant soft yellow semi-double flowers bloom in late spring.  Grows best with deep, rich well-drained soils.  Tolerates summer heat.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance.  Tree Peonies are relatively pest free- ants are common but harmless.  Some susceptible to canker,leaf blight, wilt, and scale.  Does not need pruning, but can be trimmed in fall to encourage new growth or to remove suckers in spring.
