Cityline Rio Hydrangea is a dwarf hardy deciduous shrub with a tidy habit of upright stems and leathery disease resistant leaves.  The large mophead panicle flowers' color can be various shades depending on the PH of the soil- in acidic soils the flowers will be blue while alkaline flowers will be vivid purple- and bloom throughout summer on old wood.  Best bloom in partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.  Note: The flowers may be pink in neutral soil.
