First Light Swamp Sunflower is a large free-flowering perennial with fuzzy leaves.  The heavy blooms of intensely yellow flowers cover the foliage from late summer into mid fall.  Best bloom in full sun in acidic and moist to wet well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:   Low maintenance.  If grown in part shade plants grow taller and require support.  Sunflowers are generally susceptible to rust, leaf fungal spots and powdery mildew.  Watch for aphids
