Ingwersen's Variety Bigroot Cranesbill is a low-mounding semi-evergreen herbaceous perennial with a spreading habit and aromatic grey-green deeply lobed foliage that turns red in fall. Clusters of dark pink buds open to small light pink flowers with elongated stamen that bloom from late spring into summer. Crimson berry-like seedheads follow the after the petals drop. Flowers best with afternoon shade in southern climates and dry to medium well-drained soils.
