Dixie Chip Bugleweed is a dwarf carpet-forming herbaceous perennial with variegated tri-colored foliage. The small narrow leaves emerge with varying shades of green, cream and rosy-purple which matures to a mild green with cream margins and the occasional rose blush.  Spikes of small violet-blue flowers bloom in spring.  Flowers best in part sun and moist, well-drained soils.  An aggressive spreader.  It can be evergreen in warmer climates.

Bugleweed has medicinal properties that is traditionally used for the treatment of wounds or sores and arresting hemorrhages.  It is also used for coughs, fever, and normalizing the heart rate.  Do not use if pregnant.*
