Variegated Bishop's Weed, also known as Aegopodium podagraria 'Variegatum', is a fast-growing ground cover plant that is known for its attractive, variegated foliage.
This plant typically grows to a height of 6-9 inches with a spread that can extend several feet. It prefers part shade to full shade and is adaptable to a variety of soil conditions, but it thrives best in well-drained, moist soils. Variegated Bishop's Weed is a great choice for filling in large areas quickly or for areas where other plants struggle to grow.
The leaves of Variegated Bishop's Weed are compound and have a green and white variegated color. In the summer, it produces small, white flowers, although the foliage is usually the main attraction for this plant.
While Variegated Bishop's Weed is a low-maintenance plant, it's important to note that it can be invasive and spread quickly, so it should be planted in areas where it can be controlled or where its spreading habit won't be a problem.
