Ebbinge's Silverberry is a bushy evergreen shrub with spine free branchlets and leathery elliptic leaves that emerge with silver scales and matures to a lustrous green with a silver-grey underside. The small creamy white flowers are not very showy but have an intense fragrance as it blooms through fall and are followed by red berries that ripen in spring. Best color when grown in full sun and loamy well-drained soils.
