Pierre's Purple Bishop's Hat is a shade loving semi-evergreen herbaceous perennial with toothed medium green foliage that emerges with a bronze cast. Nodding wine purple flowers with elongated spurs bloom in spring. Thrives in shade and dry to medium, well-drained acidic soils. Drought tolerant once established.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Mosaic virus the main disease, but otherwise little problems. Cut back any surviving winter foliage in late winter before new growth emerges.
