Dalmatian Purple Foxglove is a compact herbaceous perennial with a basal mound of downy green leaves. A tall spire packed with deep lavender tubular flowers with maroon flecks inside rises above the foliage in spring and lasts well into summer. Flowers best in part shade and rich, moist, well-drained acidic soils. The leaves are highly toxic.
