Kiowa Blackberry is an early ripening variety of the deciduous shrub that produces the largest blackberries (3”) and has sturdy erect canes that do not need staking.  The pink-white rose-like flowers give way to clusters of fruits in which ripen in summer.  Fruits best in full sun and rich, moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils.  Kiowa is self fruiting and has good disease resistance, but intolerant of wet soils.
