Brazilian Red Hots Joseph's Coat is a compact erect evergreen annual grown for its pointed foliage that emerges green with hot pink edging, and shifts to dark fuchsia while keeping the edging. The inconspicuous white flower buttons are held in the leaf axils. Best color in full sun and rich, consistently moist well-drained soils in cooler regions; warmer regions do best with afternoon shade to prevent color bleaching.
