Persian Palm is a large bulb perennial with massive heart-shaped foliage on thick stems. These ribbed green leaves have wavy margin and can reach as long as 6ft long and 3ft wide. The greenish-white spathe and spadix bloom intermittently throughout the year. Grows best in part sun with rich, moist to wet well-drained acidic soils. Treat as an annual when grown outside of its zones.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance plant. Plants may burn in full sun, and in too much shade then petioles will weaken and will not be able to support the leaves. Watch for spider mites, aphids, scale, and mealybugs.
