Showy flowers with a long spadix surrounded by a large cupping spathe bloom in late spring into summer. Grows best with bright indirect sun and moist to wet well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Keep the soils moist, but do not let the plant sit in standing water when indoors. Watch for common houseplant pests including mites, scale, and mealybugs. Watch for rhizome rot.
HOLIDAY CONTAINER CARE: Place containers in a moderately lit room. Because the decorative containers do not have drainage holes, only a light watering once a week when the top soil is dry is necessary. If you think you have overwatered, tilt the container into the sink to drain any excess water. Containers will last 6-8 weeks with proper care.
LANDSCAPE USES: Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Rock Gardens, Houseplant, and Containers.
COMPANION PLANTS: Kalanchoe, Amaryllis, Cyclamen
