Orange Milkweed (Asclepias curassavica), commonly known as Tropical Milkweed or Bloodflower, is a colorful flowering plant valued for its bright red-orange blooms and importance to pollinators, especially monarch butterflies. The plant produces clusters of small, star-shaped flowers that bloom continuously in warm weather. Performs best in full sun and moist well-drained soils.  The milky sap released from damaged stems is very toxic if ingested.
