Mongolian Aster is a small fast-growing perennial with a mounding habit. It sports a hairy stem with rough, hairy lance-like green leaves that are deer resistant. A prolific bloomer that can host up to 100 flowers on a single plant during its blooming season, which lasts mid-summer to mid-fall. The petite flowers of the Mongolian Aster are a white double petaled daisy appearance with yellow centers and are attractive to butterflies and bees. Grows best in full sun and rich, moist soils. Its drought, heat, and humidity tolerant making it a good plant for parking lot islands.
