Fan Columbine is a compact wildflower perennial with compound, overlapping fan shaped blue green foliage. Distinctive small nodding pale lilac to purple blue flowers bloom in spring attracting hummingbirds. Removing stems after flowering may encourage another bloom. Flowers best in filtered sun and rich well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Susceptible to leaf miner. Watch for columbine borers. Foliage usually declines mid-summer, at which point should be cut to the ground.
