Gold Hinoki Cypress is a slow-growing evergreen conifer tree with a pyramidal habit. The twisting splays of aromatic scale-like foliage emerges a soft gold and matures to rich green. It produces small green-brown(female) to orange-brown(male) cones depending on gender. Prefers full sun and moist well-drained soil.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Water regularly but needs well-drained soil. Juniper blight, root rot, and certain insect pests can be issues if soil to wet. Shelter from hard winds. In southern climates, young plants may burn with direct afternoon sun.
