Distylium is a flat-topped evergreen shrub with gracefully arching branches. Its willow-like leaves have a bluish hue and small fringed red flowers bloom in thick clusters in early spring attracting butterflies and pollinators. Grows best in full sun and slightly acidic, moist well-drained soil. Tolerates drought and wet soils.
