Coastal Plain Joe Pye Weed is a sturdy upright native perennial with coarsely-toothed lance-shaped foliage and un-branching purple spotted stems. Clusters of feathery lavender-pink flowers bloom in flat clusters atop of stems from late summer into fall and turn buff as they mature. Blooms best in full sun and moist well-drained soil. Some drought tolerance and pest resistance.
