Golden Acre Cabbage is a compact fast-growing cool season annual with uniform green basal foliage and creamy white heart ready for harvest after 65 days. The foliage has a sweet spicy flavor and crunchy texture when fresh that turns more mild and sweet with a buttery texture when cooked. Best if grown in rich, consistently moist well-drained loamy soils. Golden Acres heads can be 3-5 pounds and is resistant to fusarium wilt.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  A cool seasonal plant best grown in spring or fall.  Potential insect problems include cabbageworms, cabbage loopers, flea beetles, caterpillars, thrips, slugs and aphids. Root maggots may be a problem in some areas. Watch for leaf spots, blackleg, black rot and yellows.
