Variegated Mariesii Hydrangea is a dense deciduous shrub with a mounding habit and variegated dark green leaves with fine white margins. Its lacecap flowers bloom on old wood with near white larger flowers, while the tiny center flowers color depends on the soil PH - acidic soils produce sky blue flowers, while neutral or alkaline soils produce pink flowers- and bloom through summer. The flowers attract butterflies and pollinators. Best bloom in partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.
