Padron Pepper is a compact fast growing annual that produces its sweet peppers with a light heat in the center peppers in 55-80 days. These famous peppers are sweet when green and hot when ripened to red, though around 5-10% of the green ones could have a surprise heat. Best if grown in full sun and rich, moist, acidic well-drained soils.
In addition to spicing up a meal, cayenne is known to increase digestion and circulation. Colorful cayenne may act as an anti-inflammatory and have a high antioxidant content.*
