Monrovia® Strawberry Shake Hydrangea is a compact deciduous shrub with sturdy stems that can support the full sized blooms. The panicles open white, then turn soft rose pink as it matures, and blooms through summer attracting butterflies. While it can tolerate full sun, its best blooms are in part sun and rich, moist well-drained acidic soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Medium Maintenance. Mulch soil to maintain moisture and overwinter. If pruning is needed do so after flowering. Slight susceptibility to bud blight, wilt, leaf spot, and mildew. Aphids are occasional problems.
