Alexander Loosestrife is a compact herbaceous perennial with upright whorls of green and white variegated oval to lance shaped foliage that emerge with tints of pink. Small bright yellow cup shaped flowers bloom in whorls along the stems from mid spring throughout summer. Best blooms with afternoon shade in the South and moist well-drained soil. 'Alexander' is less aggressive with spreading.
