Zuni Crape Myrtle is a semi-dwarf deciduous shrub or small tree with exfoliating bark and a rounded crown. Its glossy deep green foliage emerges with a red ting and turns marron red in fall. Heavy blooms of large dark lavender panicles bloom from mid summer into fall. Best color in full sun and rich well-drained soil. Zuni has improved resistance to powdery mildew.
