Purple Clematis is a deciduous perennial vine that can be used for climbing or a groundcover and pointy green foliage with no fall color. The large velvety purple flowers with a center highlight and bright yellow stamen bloom on new and old wood from mid summer into fall. Grows best with partial sun on the roots and full sun on the vines, moist well-drained soils. Needs support to climb.
