Monrovia® Chocolate Shogun Astilbe is a mounding herbaceous perennial with handsome purple-bronze foliage topped with stems holding feathery panicles of pale, nearly white pink flowers above the leaves in mid to late summer. Flowers best in part shade and rich, moist soils. Astilbe are deer and rabbit resistant. Chocolate Shogun has improved sun and drought tolerance.
