Cowart Muscadine is a small self-fertilizing native deciduous climbing vine with non-exfoliating bark and abundant fruit production.  It is a early season producer with large clusters of medium-sized sweet black grapes with thick skins.  The shiny large broad leaves are dark green and bluntly toothed with shades of yellow to red in fall.  Grows best in full sun and moist well-drained soils.  Cowart is very disease and heat resistant.
