Common Spiderwort is a native herbaceous perennial with arching dark green grass-like foliage. The clusters of small 3-petaled flowers are blue-violet to purple and each last for only a day but bloom continuously in late spring. Blooms best with full sun and moist, well-drained acidic soils.
