Lipstick Autumn Sage is a long-blooming native heat-loving herbaceous perennial with dark green foliage. The masses of tall spikes covered with two-lipped flowers that can be pink, red, or white and bloom from spring until frost. The flowers are highly attractive to hummingbirds. Flowers best in full sun and moist well-drained soils. Very drought tolerance once established. The flowers are edible and the leaves can be used in tea.
