Monrovia® Liftoff Cleyera is a broadleaf evergreen shrub with a dense upright, almost columnar, habit. The new growth emerges reddish bronze and matures to leathery lustrous dark green leaves. Its fragrant, downward-facing clusters of creamy white flowers bloom in late spring followed by shiny black fruit. Prefers part sun and moist, well-drained soil. Good drought tolerance once established and can tolerate near full shade.
