Strong ground cover

"I was looking for a ground cover for my new home. And this fit the bill. Also it wasn't super expensive. After a couple months they started to spread out and are doing a fairly good job as they spread to block out weeds. In the first year they are quite thirsty. So if you skip more than one or two days between watering it will show. Not enough to brown the leaves but they look dry. After that they are fairly good with drought tolerance and can definitely take Georgia heat. Additionally if you have children this ground cover adds a certain level of whimsy to the garden. The mini white flowers are really cute. The purple version is a little slower to spread and does not have as many flowers. Also the white ones have done well in red clay."

New find

"Never heard of mazes until a few months ago. Of all my searching for ground covers and never came up. Bottle flat and the plants did not have any of the white flowers until after I planted them. I planted them in one location that was shaded with rich soil and one location that was sunny with low quality soil and clay. Pictures are 3 weeks after planting in April."
