Harlequin Gem Lenten Rose is a late winter-blooming evergreen perennial with leathery dark green basal foliage. Clusters of downward facing double flowers that can be be streaked with red, yellow, or green on the inside while the back is purple or black bloom from late winter into mid spring. Best bloom in dappled sun and moist well-drained soils. All parts of the plant are toxic if ingested.
