Telstar Scarlet Dianthus is a compact mat-forming perennial with tidy deep green foliage and sturdy hairy stems that do not flop. The spicy fragrant scarlet red flowers with frilly edges bloom heavily from early spring until frost. Blooms best in full sun and slightly alkaline, moist, and well-drained soil. The Telsar series has improved disease resistance. Deer resistant.
