Saucy Red Salvia is a long-blooming herbaceous perennial grown as an annual with a uniform habit and medium green foliage.  The short spikes with elongated vivid scarlet calyxes sporting matching two-lipped tubular flowers bloom from late spring into fall.  Flowers best in full sun and moist well-drained soils.  Drought tolerant.
