Stellar Ruby Magnolia is a compact reblooming evergreen shrub with large glossy foliage. The highly fragrant flowers have a distinct sweet banana scent when first opening and a color that ranges from grapefruit to creamy-pink which bloom both in late spring and late summer. Best color in full sun and moist, slightly-acidic, well-drained soil. The lower branches can be removed to make an attractive tree.
