Frohnleiten Barrenwort is a shade loving semi-evergreen herbaceous perennial with toothed light green heart-shaped foliage that emerges with bronze marbling that returns in fall. Nodding bright yellow flowers with spurs bloom in spring. Thrives in shade and dry to medium, well-drained acidic soils. Drought tolerant once established.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Mosaic virus the main disease, but otherwise little problems. Cut back any surviving winter foliage in late winter before new growth emerges. Watch for aphids.
