Smooth Aster is a native evergreen perennial with unbranched smooth blue-green foliage that forms a basal rosette. Small loose blue to purple flowers with yellow centers bloom in panical like clusters in fall. Grows best with full sun and dry to medium well-drained soils. Good drought and heat tolerance. Also known as Symphyotrichum laeve.
