Starfield Hydrangea is a dwarf deciduous shrub with an upright rounded habit that blooms on both new and old wood and serrated deep green leaves. The color of the large mophead panicles of of double flowers with pointed petals depends on the soil PH - a bubblegum pin in alkaline soils, while acidic soils produce blue to mauve flowers and bloom from late spring into fall. The flowers attract pollinators. Best bloom in partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.
