Crystal Cove Hydrangea is a compact reblooming deciduous shrub with serrated dark green leaves.  Its abundant large-flowered lacecap panicles that bloom throughout summer into fall have a frilly and picoted edge with its color dependent on the PH of the soil- pink in alkaline soil, and purple-blue in acidic soil- that deepen as they age and attracting butterflies and pollinators all the while.  Best bloom in partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.  The Seaside Serenade series is a Monrovia exclusive that has longer lasting blooms and extra sturdy stems, and resists sun scorching.
