Tabasco Pepper is a fast growing annual that are ready for harvest in 55-80 days (green) to 80-90 days (red). The petite 0.5-1.5" long pods are green when immature with a bright and sharp spice with a slitgh fruity flavor and turn red as they mature with a sweeter smoked tang flavor with increased heat. Best if grown in full sun and rich, moist, acidic well-drained soils. Tabasco has a spice range of 3000 to 50,000 Scoville Heat Units.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Water Regularly with 1-2 inches of water per week. Do not transplant deeper than previously grown. Blight, mildew, leaf spot, and mosaic virus can be issues, especially if soil is too moist or there's not good air circulation. Aphids, borers, beetles, and cutworms can be occasional issues.
