Red Top Peach (Prunus persica 'Red Top') is a popular freestone peach variety known for medium to large fruits with yellow flesh and attractive red skin. Sweet, juicy flavor with excellent eating quality and ripens in mid-June to early July. Grows best in full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Self-Pollinating but will benefit if another fruiting peach is planted nearby. 750 chilling hours needed.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: High Maintenance. Needs regular watering. Peaches have a lot of pest and disease issues and need regular spraying to ensure good crop. Potential pests include tree borer, fruit moth, root nematodes, and aphids. Late spring frosts can severely damage flower buds. Fallen fruit can be messy if not harvested.
