Telstar Purple Picotee Dianthus is a compact mat-forming perennial with tidy deep green foliage and sturdy hairy stems that do not flop. The densely packed bicolored flowers with frilly white edges and pink-purple centers have a spicy fragrance and bloom from early spring until frost. Blooms best in full sun and slightly alkaline, moist, and well-drained soil. The Telsar series has improved disease resistance.
