Ezo Murasaki Aster is a wide-spreading perennial that rapidly fills into a low mound that can serve as a groundcover with medium green toothed foliage. Frost resistant dark purple daisy-like flowers with yellow button centers bloom in mid to late fall. Grows best with full sun and well-drained soils. Good drought and heat tolerance.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Some susceptibility to powdery mildew, rust, and leaf spot. Aster wilt may occur in poorly drained soils. Taller stems may need to be staked.
