Freedom Hydrangea is a compact double-flowered deciduous shrub rebloomer able to bloom on both old and new wood. Its glossy serrated dark green leaves have no fall color. The mophead clusters bloom pink with white edges in acidic soils and lilac blue in alkaline soil, with the first bloom in spring on old wood then again in summer into fall if deadheaded. These flowers are attractive to butterflies and pollinators. Best bloom in partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.
