White Star Creeper is a spreading semi-evergreen perennial that forms a ground-hugging mat that can be used as a lawn substitute.  The tiny, rounded succulent-like dark green leaves are blanketed by small white star-shaped flowers that bloom in spring through summer.   Following the flowers are showy red and purple berries that are large relative to the plant.  Grows best in moist to wet well-drained soil.  Sturdy enough to withstand heavy foot traffic, making it an excellent filler for paths.  An aggressive spreader.
